Kakimori - Metal Nib - Brass
Takes a little getting used to but it's well made and versatile. Using it with an e+m Gemini nib holder or a Tachikawa.
A true sumi nib
This nib is versatile and, as inks are easily washed off, very quick for swatching or other ink changes.
I have tried standard dip pens (speedball, general dip nib), but generally have not used them extensively since the range of line width options and ink capacities are very limited. Those nibs also have quite a lot of feedback (scratchiness) during use.
This nib offers a variety of line width as well as the capacity to hold plenty of ink.
For reference, I can write notes for a minimum of half to 3/4 of a page (A5) using this nib (thinner line width, not very tilted but still comfortable to hold).
Tilting the pen just a bit more offers, much thicker lines, which is such an easy way to get differences in line width with just one nib and one ink during sketching use.
Ink flows extremely smoothly with very little feedback on fine lines, with next to no feedback once the nib is tilted slightly for thicker lines.?
Works absolutely beautifully during use with shimmer inks.
A bit expensive, (purchased with my own funds, not sponsored ) but LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!
